I am Amy Parrish. I am from Wilson's Mills and I am a lifelong Johnston County resident. I graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School and attended Johnston Community College and received an Associate's degree in Paralegal Technology. After working as a paralegal for ten years, I decided to change professions and become a teacher. I attended NC Wesleyan College and graduated Cum Laude with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Justice Studies. After working with students with disabilities for three years, I pursued my Master's degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Special Education from Liberty University. I am currently pursing my doctoral degree in Professional and School Counseling from Liberty University. My hobbies are working EMS with Johnston County EMS and Four Oaks EMS and attending multiple sporting events. My favorite sport is football! Because of my love for football, I become a cheerleader at the age of 4 and I am currently the Middle School Cheerleading Coach! I can be contacted via email or on my direct office line at 919-626-2309.
My name is Jennifer Horne and my husband and I live in Cleveland area with our three wonderful kids Brady, Taylor, and Livy and our two ferocious dogs Roscoe and Biscuit. We love going to the kids baseball and cheer games and just hanging out with the family. I coach my youngest daughter's Pop Warner cheer team and I love being apart of these amazing little girls lives! I worked for Johnston County Schools for 5 years as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher Assistant. In 2013, I graduated from Liberty University and began teaching at Polenta in their Cross Categorical Exceptional Children’s classroom. I am so excited to be apart of the Neuse Charter School team and look forward to working with amazing students!
I am an Exceptional Children's Teacher and High School Athletic Director and am in my third year at Neuse Charter. I graduated from Smithfield Selma High School, before completing undergraduate studies at UNC-W. I attended graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill (but am still a Duke fan). Through the years, I have completed coursework at ECU, Barton, NC Wesleyan and NCSU. My wife, Peggy, is an EC Teacher at Riverwood MS. I have two children-Lindsay, a grad student at NCSU. and Dawson, a junior at NCS. I was employed at Dorothea Dix Hospital, South Campus Community School, Riverwood MS, and Corinth Holder HS prior to my stop at NCS
I have worked in the EC department at Neuse Charter School for four years. I am dedicated to the future success of our students. Go Cougars!
This is my second year at NCS. I am married to Jason and have one daughter named Avery. Avery is in Kindergarten here at NCS. I have 10 years experience with the JCS. I have worked as an office staff and EC Teachers Assistant at South Campus which is the alternative school for Johnston County. I have worked with Johnston County Group Homes for over 20 years and I am still there part-time today. I enjoy going to the movies and spending time with my wonderful family. I am happy to be here at NCS.
